Indian carpets are amongst some of the most intricately designed and artistically appealing carpets in the world. There is an interesting overlap between Persian culture and Indian area rugs, for instance, the Jamshidpour wool rugs, which base their design style on Persian motifs. They incorporate contemporary Indian themes within the weave. Using bright, almost glowing colors along with a hand knot technique, that allows for a dense weave, have made Jamshidpour carpets some of the most sought after of products.

The pride of Rajasthan is the Jaipur style of Indian Carpets. The weavers of these carpets have been weaving since the days of the great Indian kings and these Indian carpets radiate a sense of royalty. The city of Jaipur is India's largest rug producing area, and the carpets they weave are extremely durable and woven in all types of colors.

The Ushak Indian rug is hand woven from 100 percent wool. The weave and patterns mirror that of the Turkish Ushak rugs and uses pastel type colors. With superior craftsmanship and highly artistic designs, the Persian Carpets became the favourite of the European elite in the 15th century. Simple, yet beautiful designs combined with pastel colors enable this rug to truly brighten up your room.

Another famous style of Indian carpet is the Heriz style. Taking ideas from Persian Heriz rugs, they are coarsely woven and have a diamond or floral geometric medallion with square and rectangular corners.

The Chubi, Dhurri Kilim, and Luribaft Gabbeh Riz use either hand spun wool or 100% New Zealand wool. They use softer colors and the designs are simpler and they are the perfect rug to tie a room together.
